Seems like there are pretty legitimate concerns about every DE that would be available at our pick in the 2nd (Dunlap, Hardy, Selvie, etc.). Is it worth taking a DE here?

i'd rather wait until the third. better value there.

most anyone left in the 2nd round will be a reach. i don't want wooten or dunlap...esp. for a 2nd.

aside from a couple most of the DEs that are supposed to go in the first round or two are going to be reaches.

i like dunlap in the 2nd but only if he is there with our 48th pick.other than than him i would wait until the 3rd.

I would rather get a WR in the 2nd because it's very unlikely we'll get a DE.

We'll have to be very lucky or trade up to get a top DE.

Elite DL and OL go in the first round. If they are still there in the 2nd then they are likely a project type player...not an instant impact guy. I think unless you are taking a QB in the first round, your goal should be to get an instant impact player.

Everson Griffen, Tyson Alualu and Ricky Sapp should be around late in the 2nd. I really hope we somehow get another 2nd round pick though so Hurney can draft a DE and WR in the 2nd round!

I'm betting we trade up to take a de or wide-out (whichever talent is the best available) early in the second round with next year's first round and a sixth rounder, and then take the other one with our real second rounder... I just bet, and to tell you the truth that's a good idea

yeah it's a vicious cycle but honestly I don't see how we can afford to just sit back and take what comes to us. We need to get some talent or we won't be competitive.

Everson Griffin might be a late 1st rounder.. he won't be there for us. Hardy and Selvie will be there in the 3rd round, so I'd rather go WR with our 2nd rounder, and DE with our 3rd rounder.
