It should have been obvious to you that Shinn was a huge problem when Charlotte ran the Hornets out of town and were promptly awarded a brand new team.

As an owner, he sucked. He would trade away any decent talent we had.
As a person, he was a huge POS.
This is why Charlotte said that we would rather not have an NBA team than have one owned by Shinn.
The negative vote on the uptown arena was more of a shot at Shinn than anything else.

i don't think they have the money to take over the team and not sure if his relationship with them is all that good
