The ACORN Sting Tapes were BS!!!

You know all those people who got fired because of these tapes? The raw video tape cleared all California ACORN employees of any criminal wrongdoing!

I want all my conservative friends to watch the video in this link, all the way through, and let it marinate for a while. Then think about this every time you watch Fox News, (or any news in general before any of you right wingers throw out some scandal dealing with the left wing media).

Because as someone who went to Journalism school, and got a respected Journalism education, this makes me sick. The one thing a journalist is never supposed to do is misrepresent the facts. This kind of thing is what gets journalists fired at respected institutions.

Acorn Sting Tapes Edited

The message should come through loud and clear. If you take what you get through the mainstream media at face value, you are doomed to be a puppet of partisan politics until the day you die. Think, don't react.

And F*** FOX NEWS!

Who cares...ACORN is a POS organization and hopefully it's defunct by the next election cycle.

Why defend them.

Ahh, who cares, that's right. You don't like them so making things up against them is OK.

The most watched news outlet in the country is blatantly misrepresenting facts to bend you to the will of their prevailing political party and to mobilize a gullible public to accomplish their desired outcomes.

If that doesn't scare or outrage you, then you have a stronger constitution than I have.

Acorn Sting Tapes Edited

The message should come through loud and clear. If you take what you get through the mainstream media at face value, you are doomed to be a puppet of partisan politics until the day you die. Think, don't react.

And F*** FOX NEWS!

Ok, I just watched this entire video.

For the record, I am a registered unaffiliated voter, who has voted on both Democrat and Republican candidates over the past 4 Presidential Elections, and find merit and failure in stances taken by both parties.

To that point, I take the most objective position I can when hearing of political positions like this whole ACORN thing.

1. The introduction is a rather disrespectful and smug shot at republicans and Fox News. It fails to mention that Jerry Brown, the Attorney General who conducted the "investigation" is a big-time member of the Democratic party who served as Governer of California for 8 years, and has a long standing career of being HIGHLY biased for Left-wing policies (to the point of intolerance of the opposing parties) and is overtly critical of the Republican party. The Dead Kennedys even made a song about him called California Über Alles, where an imaginary Jerry Brown outlines a hippie-fascist vision for America enforced by a police state.

Any "investigation" brought about by his office of something so political in nature REEKS of taint and bias.

2. The first "evidence" they bring to light involves the dress of the "pimp". This is an absurd point. The criteria for being a "pimp" has jack and sh!t to do with how you dress. I could walk around in sweat pants and still be a real pimp. In fact, I have MET a Pimp that does just that. And if I confide in someone that my profession is "pimping" when the subject of employment is critical to the discussion, then the party who requires that information is obliged to react to my disclosure... not my dress. Ridiculous.

3. The next point... how the Acorn guy is "pressing" to get information from the pair and asks about phone numbers and dates of arrival for illegal immigrant prostitutes.

Rachel Maddow then says "So why is he asking for that information? Because he responsibly reported it to the police!"

So we are to assume this guy was valiantly protecting the law and lives of people he didn't even know? And he put himself in a position of offering assistance to someone admitting to planning a crime to do so?

Why didn't he call the San Diego Police himself? And why isn't the exact dates of these calls given?

Here's another possible theory.... he talked to the "pimp and ho" recording the video and offered them help. Afterwards, he called around to find out the real deal on these two. When he couldn't get any solid info that they were for-real criminals, or maybe even found out they were clean... he suspected a something, and he called his cop-cousin to make it look like he was doing the right thing, and the cop-cousin did his part.

This is hardly damnable evidence for the video, and doesn't justify Maddow's later statement that these unedited videos "Clear" the person of any wrong-doing.

The bottom line: He offered assistance to admitted law-breakers to commit a crime. If he was "responsibly" doing his job, then he wouldn't have terminated the conversation as soon as they admitted their profession.

4. The last point... how the Acorn employee encouraged the two to start a "child prostitution business"

BOTH Foxnews and MSNBC are guilty of creative editing. Fox edited out the "housing" comment, yes. But if you watch the ENTIRE video HERE...

You will see that Ms. Stuart is HARDLY innocently encouraging an admitted prostitute to find a place to live.

If you watch it, at 2:40, the Pimp guy starts explaining that they are going to use the house for underage sex prostitution, and SHE OFFERS TO DO RESEARCH FOR THEM ON HOW TO GET MONEY TO GET THE HOUSE. SHE ALSO GOES ON FOR TWO MINUTES OFFERING HELP THEM GET CONTACTS IN THE PORNO BUSINESS SHE ALREADY KNOWS.

Yes... Fox news edited the video. They only highlighed a part of the conversation. But did they MISREPRESENT the video? Nope. They explained the video accurately.

What did MSNBC claim? That Ms. Stuart wasn't helping a Sex Business. Wait... huh? Maybe MSNBC didn't have the whole video? That's it...

BULLSH!T. They are spinning the video to attack Foxnews.

So... who is guilty of the creative edits here? Both are, but one is doing it for shock factor (Foxnews), and one is doing it for libel (MSNBC) and to push an agenda.

Your title says these tapes are BS, and not to take mainstream media at face value. But you're "evidence" is doing that exact thing.
