SLJ - that's so sweet of you!

Kenny - thanks for the advice.

For now, I really have to have the red dirt taken out of the biggest bed because it overflows and muddies my whole patio and the remnants of that stupid vine must go. The hosta can wait although if they can be dug up and replanted intact in the same place after resoiling that area, it would be great. And then just trim back the bushes till fall.

As for replanting stuff - there's a nursery that I like near me with great quality stuff. Most of that is stuff I can do myself or could do if the dirt were suitable. The stuff in the back bed is horrible - has concrete and junk in it from when the house was built.

My neighbors pretty much suck for helping with anything. I even walked around the backs of everyone's houses on Sunday looking for ideas and wasn't crazy about anyone's.

Hawk - I like the way you think!!! :)

Sunbunny - thanks for your comments to AK.

For the ones who've been to my house, the areas for plants is very small as I had most of my patio area filled in with concrete, which worked wonderfully having my pool last summer.

I need to get the dirt stuff taken care of so I can pressure wash before upgrading the pool.

Why don't I just send Ty? He wants to go to Charlotte anyway to see one of his friends. If you pay him, he might actually work.

We have been waiting for you to decide on a weekend to get here sunbunny. Make it sooner than later and have him do it - his friend too - they can bond over yard work while we all go out to dinner.

I'll do it, but only if I can be shirtless and if you call me edmundo.

So you want to work for an attractive lady, and your condition is that you be shirtless? :sosp:

one thing I am a little disappointed in...this is the offseason! For a couple cases of beer and maybe some burgers on the grill, the huddle could have tailgated at Cosmo's this weekend and gotten most of this work done in an hour!!!

Where are you brain's sometimes people!

Flaw: That would require trusting this bunch to stay sober and work hard.

And for the record, I don't get the point of the comments antagonizing the ladies either :nonod:

Solid post IMHO, you should make a banner about it. It could read "Remember the Dandelion."

Ha! HA! HA!

I'm not fooled by the clever wordplay.
Or the use of furniture as a lure.
Now it's a "bed", you say?

HA!

...wasn't sure about that last HA, but I needed a strong finish. If anybody has anything they think would be better, lemme know...
