Seems to me this is the worst time to buy with prices all jacked up. As for a divisional shirt, why buy that if we win the NFCCG. Seems if we go to the Superbowl the divisional material will be less important and will be marked down a bunch. Everything will be NFC Champions instead. Personally I don't buy stuff until we do what we do then get the one most relevant to where we finished. Maybe it is me but I hate to pay full price for anything.

No, I only saw Smith's jersey, I was at the Greenwood mall just outside Indy.

It is sweet that you live in Indiana, I was driving by a Barnes & Noble bookstore the other day and say someone by the window reading and was wearing an alternate blue Smith jersey and I was just like "HELL YEAH!!".

I get pumped when I see other fans around here.

That's south right? I used to live in Indianapolis. 38th/42nd and Arlington area. Went to Washington Square a lot. Haven't been back in at least 20 years.

In 2003, I got only the NFCC shirts and hat. But I didn't get the Divisional. And I wished I had. I didn't make that mistake this time.

And for anybody that doesn't know...

IIRC the divisional stuff went on deep discount pretty quickly on panthers.com in 2003... and if you were willing to wait until the initial mad rush was over, the conference stuff was discounted later in the spring, too. The only issue is whether they'll still have your requested size or style in stock or not. I remember saying to myself "next time, try waiting a month or so to see what goes on sale". But I'm not the kind of person who will listen to what I have to say.

when i see a fan wearing something Panthers I get so excited. Here in NY there few and far between.

I was visiting Denver back in the late 1990's and wandered into a Burger King where there was a guy wearing a Panthers starter jacket. So I said, "hey, you a Panthers fan?" or something like that.

His reply: "No man, I just dig the colors."

Stopped assuming that all Panthers-wearing folks are Panthers fans.

    • I didn't say that I grouped kids and dogs in the same category, you assumed that. Of course I value my kid's life over my dog's, but I'll value the life of either over the life of someone threatening them. Seems like the pro-Vick/anti-dog crowd can't help themselves to try to bend over backwards to create arguments that haven't actually been made. As for your property statement, yes dogs are property that can be bought and sold, but I bet no one's ever been sent to prison for abusing couches. Dogs certainly have more protection under the law than standard property. You're free to place whatever value on a dog's life that you will. You'll notice that I haven't tried to lecture anyone on how they should view a dog, I'm simply stating my own personal views.
