It's not really as flattering as you might think, if whomever is doing it kind of sucks at it.

Plus with a charcoal grill you are getting high concentrations of carbon (all the black stuff on burnt meat), which is highly carcinogenic.

But I do love to grill with charcoal.

First off, if you are "grilling" with gas because charcoal is "too carcinogenic", then you should just cook it on the stove.

Point #2, if you are cooking with charcoal and end up with burnt meat, you deserve to die from all of the carcinogens.

Agreed. You aren't suppose to burn it. And burnt meat is bad if its gas or charcoal.

Grilling with gas is NOT like cooking on a stove. unless yall have some fancy pan or device that makes it work. I haven't seen one.

While I love the taste of food grilled with charcoal, i have like a billion more things I'd rather do than deal with charcoal everytime i want to grill some salmon or a steak.

Using a griddle with the heat on high gets you pretty close to a gas grill experience.

The gas flame is great for melting whatever that stuff is on the spoon you are supposed to melt.

Plenty of time for that whilst waiting for the coals to heat up...

True.
Plus you can add smoke chips or use mesquite charcoal.

We have both gas and charcoal.
