Kyle Singler is...

Singler stayed because he is not a lottery pick, and maybe not even a first round pick. If he has a good year in 2011, he might improve his stock some.

Yep. He is Mike Dunleavy Jr. light.

If you fall into the 2nd round of the NBA draft, it isn't good news. Singler was no lock for a 1st round pick this year.

Someone explain the NBA draft to me. I thought lottery picks were the first round?

And there's only two rounds, right?

Just the first 14 picks are lottery picks, with each of the crappiest 14 teams having a predetermined percentage chance of getting one of the top 3 picks.

this is what i see duke putting out as the starting lineup next year. You have to wonder about big man depth. Looks very guard oriented. You would think Coach K would keep Singler at SF considering thats what he'll play in the NBA and last season. We'd have a huge starting 5..but a skinny sophomore (kelly) and freshman (hariston) as our only big subs. The jc transfer is 6'6 but scout has him only as a two star. fwiw

PG - Kyrie Irving - Freshman

SG - Nolan smith - Senior

SF - Kyle Singler - Senior

PF - Miles Plumlee - Junior

C - Mason Plumlee - Sophomore

Bench

G - Andre Dawkins - Sophomore

G - Seth curry - Sophomore

G - Tyler Thorton - Freshman

G - Carrick Felix - JC Transfer

F - Ryan Kelly - Sophomore

F - Joshua Hariston - Freshman

Basically, the opposite of this past season when Duke had no guard depth.

Singler can slide over to the 4 spot no problem and Hairston is probably good enough to get some PT early on.

Kelly does need to put on some weight. Duke would be much better of if Czyz hadn't transferred.

Duke will be the class of the ACC next year, but they will get a strong push from VT, provided that MD23 doesn't go pro or get arrested.

No, he is a redshirt sophomore. He gets 3 years with Duke.

That's a pleasant surprise.

Probably the wrong thread to do this but Duke had their end of the year banquet last night and honored seniors and the rest of the National Championship team. All the hardware was on display and the 2010 banner was raised. Special guests in attendance where Austin Rivers and Quincy Miller.:D

After that move Singler around according to his best match-up, either that or start Kelly at the 4 but I'm def. bringing one of the Plumlee's as an energy guy off of the bench!
