Questionable pick without losing next year's second, bad pick losing next year's second. That is the only knock I have with the first six picks. (Can't stand the 3 DBs, BTW).

News flash ...Pat White blows and last time I checked Edwards weighed in at 180.. trading up for this guy was unwarranted and irresponsible. What does he really bring?

Yeah, the Panthers could never get a productive WR that only weighs 180 lbs. Oh wait, there's that guy Steve Smith.

CJ Spiller went 9th overall and McCluster and Arenas both went in the second.

Guys with dynamic return value were at a premium this draft even if they didn't have a full time position. Edwards most likely wouldn't have been there at our fourth pick.

I think Edwards transition to WR will be like Hester's...it will take time

I don't.

Edwards was known for his Football smarts at AppState.
I could see him on the field early and often.

The thing is, if the Panthers had gone in to Day 2 with two thrid round picks, then traded next years 2nd to move to the top of this years 2nd to pick Clausen, then ended up with LaFell and Edwards with the two third round picks, everyone would be ok with it.

He played wideout in HS too, I believe.

I'd be more okay with it. I'm tired up us giving up high valued picks.

I would have been okay with Clausen, LaFell and Edwards without giving up next year's second. Had that been the case, I could have given us a solid grade B.

Just look at it like this. Armanti is their second round pick next year a year in advance. They get to see what they have and many are saying next years draft class will be weak with the labor issues.
