I am fuging furious about this.

Harris had his issues in pass coverage, but that man was an integral part of this defense. He and Beason made it work.

Damn it, I'm really pissed -- and I don't get that angry about most of the front office's moves.

This is a joke right? Jamar f'ing Williams?

I knew Harris wouldn't last here long after he criticized the FO on Twitter when all the cuts started happening, but wow, this was unexpected.

Whoohoo! Cheapest roster in the NFL gets you the uh, prize, ummmm.....what does that get you? I'm sure there has to be a prize for this slashing of salaries since it's been the #1 priority this offseason.

Ooops, I just stated my opinion on the internet! Please Panthers, don't fire or trade me as a fan. I'll take a pay cut and keep my mouth shut, promise!

To be fair, Harris was never that great and had been the most overrated player on the team among fans during his stint here. But to go from Chris Harris to Sherrod Martin starting is a big downgrade and to only get a special teams flunkie in return just adds insult to injury. Not to mention that Chris Harris was an all-around awesome guy and added a lot of leadership to the defense.

Made mention we have two younger and more talented safeties. This doesn't surprise me. That being said..harris was my favorite on the back end. Will miss him.

Jerry Richardson is now one of the worst owners in the league. I f'ing despise him.

What the hell this is the worst decision yet. I could almost see letting Hoover go, but Harris is a baller, has the right attitude and vet experience.

    • I do think Kpassagnon is an interesting prospect that needs to be in the right situation to thrive. It just so happens that we have one of the best 6'7" defensive ends in the history of the NFL on a reunion tour with us in 2017 and maybe if need be, 2018 if he holds up.   Kpassagnon's attitude and work ethic is strong and tireless. His 3-cone and vert scare me for a defensive end, and that's not something you can teach. Being able to bend and explode off the snap to beat OL is not something that Peppers can show him, but maybe Peppers can show how to use athleticism to his advantage.  I can see him being just another Michael Johnson/Erik Armstead player or I could also see the environment here in Carolina benefiting him and he becomes a Carlos Dunlap kind of lanky DE that causes headaches along our DL. Kpassagnon's spider web looks amazing and awful all at the same time. I'd take him in this draft, but "where" is the big question.
