A guy I work with is a huge LSU fan and all he talked about was how lafell will drop passes left and right. I heard that tyke tolbert pretty much told lafell that he wanted him bc he was from LSU (tolbert is an LSU alumn). It's kinda disconcerning that we pick a guy with terrible hands and mediocre speed bc of what school he went too. I like lafell and I'm really pulling for him but all the reports seem to say the same thing...he has the drops. Which is exactly what my buddy warned me about...kinda sucks bc we need him to step up and make some plays. Again, I know it's early but damn.

Terrel Owens dropped a lot of passes, too.
Character aside, Owens wasn't half bad on the field.

Depends.
Are you the descendant of a Swedish doctor who immigrated to Delaware in the 1400s?

That's a good point...I remember all those passes that TO dropped in the NFC championship game while he was with the 49ers and then made the game winning grab from young in the endzone between two defenders.

I just hope if lafell has the same type of game he doesn't cry like a little baby the way TO did.

Damn CatMan, you're as big as Mike Rucker? We need Dline help this year brother...

LOL, I told Rucker we needed him back out there and he told me they needed me out there...

For the record, I'm the exact same height and weight as Haynesworth... not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing? (I wish our wallets weighed the same)

On a side note, when I asked Ruck if I could get a picture with him he said "ABSOLUTELY!" and came right over... first-class guy.

TO was also a top 5 talent and now a possible HOF player. LaFell is Brandon LaFell that's about it.

I would not read too much into the first practice. Some players may be fighting there nerves and stuff related to that. Come TC thats when I start too look a the good points and bad ones.

Something else I remembered: they were lining up Goodson in the slot.

Hooray!!! What I have been waiting for.

This Offense is loaded with talent. Looks like we could be a really balanced O this year. D.Will and J.Stew won't get injured so much.

It is ashamed they will have to cut so many WRs though. Hopefully Gooson stays.

Moore didnt look to sharp today... lots of throws behind WR's... or way ahead or low. Just off a lot.

Clausen made a throw deep (35-40 yds) on a double move that was amazing... right in front of me. WR dropped it tho... but it was perfect. Got some ooooo's and ahhh's.

The QB competition is gonna be TIGHT!!

Five more pages of notes to digest later. Heading back for the afternoon session.
