roster moves?

If Felton walks, we may be glad that we have Augustin.

The Bobs are in a real catch 22 with Felton. Let him walk and you may not be able to replace him via trade, FA, or improvement by DJ. Pay him to keep him around and you will never be better than the 5 seed in the East.

Monta Ellis, Tony Parker, CP3, Devin Harris would ALL be options to back or replace Felton.

If we cant get CP3, I like the idea of Monta or Devin Harris replacing Felton. Cant forget about DJ, maybe DJ steps it up big time next year. Either way, I cant wait to see what Jordan does with this roster.

All four of those players are better than Felton.

One completely realistic option for this team that I like is Brendan Haywood. I think at least one of Chandler and Mohammad will be leaving this summer via trade, and Haywood is a defensive force to plug in as our starter at center. He's not flashy at all, but he's a legitimate center with ties to North Carolina (he's a former Tar Heel) and has been very consistent year in and year out.

Won't happen without Chandler or Mohammed leaving (as you correctly pointed out).

Hopefully we can move one of them and pick Haywood up, because there's nothing that we can trust them to do on a regular basis that he doesn't do just as well and cheaper.

I actually think Chandler is a slightly better player on both ends of the court, however, we all know that Chandlers problem is staying healthy.

Well to use a bit of statistical analysis, Haywood has posted PER's of 16.1, 14.9 (he missed most of the year), and 18.3 over the past three years. Over his career he's averaged 11.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per 36 min. Chandler has posted PER's of 12.5, 13.4, and 17.5 over the past three years and averages 10.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per 36 min in his career.

The differences are fairly marginal until you see that Chandler has missed significant chunks of the past two years while making around twice as much as Haywood has. Nazr actually showed some life as an off-the-bench scorer down low last season, so ideally (for me at least) we'd be able to dump Chandler's contract and pick up Haywood, which would leave some payroll still open to make some other moves.

Yeah why is there no love for Nazr. He was clearly our best Center this year. If it wasn't for his injury he would had still been starting over Theo.
