Yes, wastes of oxygen like this actually exist. They feel it gets in the way of doing their "thing".

You can't babysit your own kids.........I have always found it funny that you will never hear a woman refer to babysitting their own kids but if I man spends time with their kids while the mom is away it is babysitting. :D

And yes it is real....2 of my wife's good friends have husbands that are that way.....the wives have to bring their kids everywhere. When the girls get together for dinner, go to get their hair or nails done, grocery shopping, etc....the kids have to go with them. It is a shame not only for the wives but for the dads and kids as well. Maybe boys wouldn't grow up to be such pussies/punks and girls wouldn't grow up doing anything for the attention of a man if dad spent more time with them. Can you tell this is a pet peeve of mine?

Often, though not always, these are the same men that think it's okay to slap their wife when she "steps out of line".

Shocking people, really.

That's sad cause I love spending time with my daughter. I know down the road she will want me around less and less. There are way too many sperm donors and not enough real fathers. Just watch an episode of Maury.:D

Its just an excuse to get the wife to ok hiring a hot young babysitter. :)

From the time my son was born until he was 3 years old, my wife worked second shift, and while I worked during the day so that one of us would always be with him. My mom did cover the two hour overlap between her going to work and me coming home. It was rough on our sex life, but we tried to make up for it on the weekends. :)

I love hanging with my kids. The realy early days with diapers and such I might have considered it more babysitting. But now we go everywhere and they crack me up and love my music. Win win.

This!
I spend as much time as I can with my daughters, which is hard sometimes because I don't live with them. I enjoy the time we spend together for two reasons; 1) every day that passes they are one day closer to leaving for college. 2) they are actually a lot of fun to hang out with.

People that want stuff until they get it piss me off.

Especially people that want kids until they have them.

Best thing they can do is take out a fat life insurance policy then go die.

Seems like almost everybody wants a fuging baby...until they have one. Women included.

I didn't want a baby until I had one. Now it's a blast.

After I threw up changing a shitty diaper for the third time my wife and I came to the realization that it was just quicker and easier for her to do it. Less dangerous for our baby too as I couldn't hold her very well on the table while I was retching my guts up in the trash can.

I tried and tried to get over it but I couldn't. Even having to clean up after the cat or the dog has an accident inside makes me hurl if its still warm.

Sometimes its more cant than wont...

I have changed more diapers in my lifetime than I care to think about. Mrs Zod and I split everything down the middle when they were babies. Even the breast feeding.

I didn't know you had kids, Zod. Or are you just changing other kids' diapers just for the hell of it?

I changed my profession when my daughter was born. I was a carpenter, now I do remote network and software maintenance with VPN's and such. I get to spend all day every day with my daughter, who is now 15months old. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

My husbands dad was this way. They had 2 kids and he didn't change even 1 diaper. He NEVER had them by himself. From the stories I've heard he sounded completely disinterested in his children (still is for the most part). He has NEVER hugged my husband or my husbands sister or told them "i love you". It bothers me and to make it worst his behavior is constantly excused from many stupid reasons.
