Last time I was home in Burlington, NC I got a sample box of Natty Greene's beer. I am more of a stout, porter, brown ale guy and this stuff is pale ale, witbier, amber ale, and golden ale. They have a brown ale, but it wasn't in the box. But it's still good. They also have an imperial stout and winter ale (seasonal) I'd like to try next time I'm in town.

Natty Greene's was started by a couple of NC guys fairly recently. It's always good to support local business. Give em a shot when you can.

Natty Greene's is named after Nathaniel Greene, a revolutionary war general and hero - also, Greensboro was named after him.

Natty greens is pretty good stuff. I prefer lone rider beers though.

I'm going to go broke buying beer this month, as some of my favorites are being released. These include (but are not limited to) Founders KBS, Weyerbacher Heresy and Duck-Rabbit Rabid Duck.

If you're an imperial stout fan, you can't go wrong with any of these. The first two are aged in bourbon barrels.

Oh, and I'm eager to try one of Sam Adam's limited beers, Cinder Bock Smoked Double Bock. I love smoked beers.

It's on the first page I think. Maybe the first post. It's very good and kinda expensive to drink like water.

Foothills is my favorite place to go have a beer right now. I went Saturday night. They currently offer a bourbon barrel aged version of their People's Porter. It's awesome.

I have to go check out First Street Draught House though. According to their site, they have Founder's Breakfast Stout on tap!
