didn't we win 12 games? or was i dreaming?

Well, some people appreciate nothing in life.

yea we won 12 games and yes I appreciate the effort our team put in the first 16 games of the season, but this game is played to win the championship or at least try to win it. your coaching staff and starting qb shouldn't just hand over a game like that and that's why everyone is mad, we were down by 7 had a chance to start pounding the rock but we came out throwing and running pitches and strech runs against a fast team. stupid play calling on run plays and stupid decisions by jake on pass plays.

Fox coached a great season while sticking with a mediocre coordinator and a QB that found the worst game of his career come in the playoffs. There need to be serious changes on the defensive side of the ball and maybe at QB (although I firmly believe Delhomme will be the starter in 09) but not at HC.

With as much talent as we have on the defense there is no reason that we should be 18th in total D. We finished 16th in passing D after starting out in the top 5 for the first part of the year...what the hell kind of collapse do you have to have to drop that far???

Cowher has LOST more good players to free agency than just about any other team. Yet, his teams have remained competitive, and have somehow always managed to replace those lost players with great talent.

Its really amazing the job he did in Pittsburgh. I think with an owner like Jerry Richardson, he could do wonders here.

...That being said, my biggest fear for the Panthers future lies on the Big Cat's health. I really do not think Jerry's sons will be good owners.

Anything to take the pain away. Cowher can bring some good to the team. I think he deserves it. I had dreams about the game ALL night long..i did not sleep well..literally. With our schedule next yr we need new leadership..whether it at QB/head coach/ Def. coordinator or all of the above and more

I said it at the first of the season....no matter what Carolina does in the regular season I want Cowher in for the 09 season.

Fox and his loyalty to his coaches and some players are handicapping this team. There are alot of different views on why Carolina just cant perform on a regular basis or lay an egg in big games. Some blame Fox, some blame Turdo, some blame Davidson, some blame Peppers and some blame Jake but it ALL boils down to Fox. I think he gets to much of a free pass. He is the one thats responsible if any of the "other" parts suck but he will not make a change and thats why he needs to go. Fox is the ultimate good guy and its hard to fire the good guy.

Now IMO, Carolina can be good again next year. They can win 9-12 games and maybe get into the playoffs again. Thats when we will get outcoached just like in the Seattle and the Arizona games. The South will be good again. Atlanta and New Orleans will be better, and Gruden will keep the Bucs in the running. Cowher can and will motivate this team into a better machine capable coaching and making the moves to win it all. Fox cant do that.

10-15 years with this group won't give us anything.

And Cowher can do it less than that? Plus, he will want full control of the team as being both GM & coach along with too much money. That will hurt our salary cap big time.

Beside, being the best coach on a team doesn't mean it will be the same way with a different team. We all saw what happend with Seifert here. He coached a team that won the Superbowl back in '95 & look what happend to us when he came here.

They're goin to have to get rid of Fox because he won't fire his coordinators to save his butt. Major overhaul coming lucky we have williams and stewart.

Seifert won with Walsh's players...Cowher won consistently with his own.
