The Dampier - Billups idea is intriguing. Denver is over the luxury tax threshhold so they would love to shed 13 mil off their payroll. Ty Lawson is there to run the point. I'd take it.

So would LB.

Oh yeah.. he'd love it. It makes so much sense that you know it will never happen.

I don't know if was your attempt at humor or you were trying to make yourself look intelligent by making fun of my post. Either way, in my opinion you failed.

Seeing as how we basically had Calderon, there's no way this trade is it. We've acquired a much more desireable contract with Dampier and still have Boris Diaw, who Colangelo was interested in to begin with. More moves are coming, I have absolute faith in that.

I think the guy was saying we would make a trade for Billups since Denver could be promoting their backup Ty Lawson to their starting PG, mainly for salary reasons.

Damp and Diaw for Bargnani and Calderon? That would be sweet.

I am still scratching my head at this one. I'm just hoping we can bring in someone now who will make an impact on this team.

MJ may very well parlay this move into another trade and improvement of the team.

If this is it, he has proven once again that MJ=Great player....but crappy executive.

He has had a pretty decent record at making FA moves...so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Now, if this was a draft pick...it would be a guaranteed failure.

Has MJ ever made a good draft pick? Kwame, Felton, May, Morrison, Augustine (jury still out). God...that is a shitty track record.

Jared Dudley and Derrick Brown have been it so far.
