If they weren't happy parents, they wouldn't be gay now would they?

Gay parents adopt. Therefore they have a certain amount of choice in who they adopt. Do you not think this skews the numbers these studies produce in their favor a bit? They most likely choose a kid without bi-polar than one with bi-polar.

My argument is against the legitimacy of these studies that conclude gay parents are better than straight parents. They should just compare gay parents to straight parents who adopted. This would be a more legit comparison.

Maybe if gays were treated equally then you would see equality in studies. The gap shows in both directions. Think about how black comedians can crack jokes about white folks all they want but it doesn't work the other way around.

you're vastly over simplifying the adoption process. you can't just go in and pick a baby off the menu. it's a long, long process and you are lucky to take what you can get, especially if you're gay. the only thing you get to select is the race and gender.

Not all gay parents adopt. Technology allows them to use their own eggs or sperm. Did you know that?

That's actually a way more accurate subject for him to push his idea about gay parents getting to pick their kids. Most kids put up for adoption aren't coming from the best situation. My newest cousins who were adopted have no nose bridge or upper lip because their mother drank all the time.
