I know he's not a rookie, and people call him J Stew, but I saw/heard/read someone refer to Jonathan Stewart as "The Daily Show". I will now be using that because it's wayyyy better than J Stew IMO.

I hope you're joking. The Daily Show is hosted by Jon Stewart the gray haired jewish unfunny guy.

Haha yeah nicknames are earned. Haha, and most of em aren't even that creative. Smitty, DLo, Stew, Beaston, are all about it for now. Used to call Harris the Hitman...but now will be referring to Martin as MARTIN! (high pitched like from the tv show, "Martin"...) but that's not really a nickname. The Cap'n. I used to call Colbert that smiling idiot, or by his Indian name, Has-No-Hands. As far as the rookies go, I can't really think of anything suitable until they pan out. I still think Dwayne Jarret looks like the candyman...and I'll refer to him as such until he runs himself out of Charlotte. Oh and I really hope Corvey Irvin does well so we can call him "the corruption" but I won't hold my breath on that one...unless Hardy gets over that injury bug, he will replace DJ Hacket's moniker of the glassman. I hope Claussen does really well for us, but I might always refer to him as that doucher from ND. Nicknames are kinda lame. Sometimes I wish we had drafted Alex Mac, so we could call him the "secret world"...but I guess Kalil's ok I guess

Maybe this is slightly early:D, but our rookies need some short names to go by on the Huddle. Anyone have any ideas? Any college ones that need to stick around? I need someone household flavor like Smitty, Double Trouble, and The Beast.

...although their play will determine the one's that stick.

How about QB Jimmy Santa Claus? :)

On every sports team i've played on,the players have nicknames given by teammates.

All we need to do is ask a Panthers team spokesperson to find out various players nicknames.

J Stew is one of the worst and laziest nicknames I've ever heard. The fiirst intial-shortened last name is already taken by williams anyway.

The Daily Show is a good one. NFL network calls him that sometimes.
