He's also adopted Delhome's floaty balls.

That sounded so wrong.

Mr. Scot,

What good things did Godfrey show tonight? I keep reading he is coming along but it's tough to tell what that means with a safety.

How was the trio of Brown, Hardy, Norwood? I know the defense played lights out were these guys a big part of that?

How was Clausen tonight?

Thanks much, its tough never being able to watch games and draw conclusions for myself.

Godfrey looked great. All over the LOS.

Norwood, Hardy, and Brown all had sacks and FF.

Sherrod had his head turned a little too long for one pass, but otherwise he did great.

Yeah that ball went right by him. That would have been an easy pass to deflect.

Can someone tell me.....Does Brian Witherspoon player corner or safety for us?? It will be a big determining factor on the final 53, I think.

I'm confused on what happened in Indy? Did Meeks just need a defensive minded team, I'm impressed.

Carolina needed him, he needed Carolina. Sometimes things just work out.

Meeks has always been a good coach, but sooner or later in the NFL you have to decide where your money is going. Offense or Defense/ Run or Pass/ Field position or clock management. It's not as cut and dry as that anytime players are concerned, but we are lucky to have gotten Meeks when his and Trgovic's contract were up.

Meh, I think they are all still a puppet of Fox. Our defense really hasnt changed that much, just the jersey numbers.

Godfrey did well in coverage and had a really nice sack on a safety blitz. Truthfully, the pass rush is making it a lot easier for the secondary.

Everette Brown finally seems to be getting there rather than just getting "near misses".

Greg Hardy can be found in various threads around the board, and deservedly so.

Didn't see Norwood tonight, but I'll review the game again. He's not listed in the stats.

This being preseason three, Clausen only played in mop-up time. hard to tell much about him given that, for the most part, everyone around him was screwing up.

Meeks doesn't need 3 probowlers to get pressure with the front 4 at least.

We might have some pro-bowlers on our hands though...

When Jim Caldwell took over from Tony Dungy, the Colts parted ways with Meeks. From what I remember, Caldwell just wanted to go in a different direction as far as scheme (more blitzing). As to how it came down, I've read in some places that he resigned, while others say he was dismissed. I guess the best answer is that it was mutual.
