As much as I love the 360 and fighting games, they don't go very well together. The 360 controller is the most fighting-tarded contraption ever. Good luck.

No kidding, the 360 D-pad is so horrible for fighting games, luckily I bought a Madcatz SF4 pad when I got Blazblue.

how much better is it?

I can use the thumbstick for the most part but there's a few things that would be easier with a good dpad

It's more precise than the thumbstick for sure. It's not like ps3 d-pad precise or anything, but a much more favorable alternative to playing on the regular 360 controller.

Hell yeah, I think my local Gamestop has one of these in stock. I think I'd be horrible with one though

Better to learn on one when you can, it makes things so much easier.

I'm also a fan of the Soul Caliber series, but I've never been very good at it.

I have the first blazblue, but i got tired of it. I don't have the motor skills necessary to hit long combos on an xbox controller and i cba to buy an arcade stick.

I play these... a lot >.>

I actually mod a few forums over at Tekken Zaibatsu and help organize Final Round, the biggest tournament on the east coast. =D

Been playing a lot of MvC3, though I still <3 Tekken.
