I thought I heard a while back that the Panthers had a deal on the table for him but he didn't sign it?

right after the 2008 season.

also in a couple years they can just switch the roles, and Stewart can be the feature back(well, Stewart can get the majority of the carries.) I just don't see DWill walking away unless he really wants to be in a single running back system.

won't know until next year, though.

Deangelo has seemed pretty appreciative of the dual system we have and our offensive line. He maybe inclined to stay or he may just being saying all the right things because that's the kind of guy he is. I wouldn't blame if he wanted to go somewhere else but I think he realizes this is the best place for him.

Gantt has suggested that's true of several players (not that they didn't sign, but that there are offers waiting) which is a perfectly reasonable possibility.

Williams could be one of them, but it's all hypothetical at this point.

Are you to lazy to go to www.rotoworld.com?

I asked for the link because no where have I seen that the Panthers have any intention of letting DWill walk. What I read was pure speculation and just thinking out loud from Gantt. And if that's all you're basing this off of then you are an idiot

Can't we just franchise him, then trade him? Correct me if this ain't possible

Tis possible, but franchising players then shopping them around isn't the Panthers specialty see Peppers debacle

so pay williams top dollar now so he can take on a back up role?

not happening.

ultimately, keeping williams (but as the #2) is what i think carolina wants to happen...but like i said, the ball is in williams's hand.
