..other than the hell off for the Panthers next season, under a new contract, and under a new defensive coordinator..

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Pep in a Bears uni, but I doubt that's going to happen either. Haven't the Panthers already made an offer to him that would have made him the highest paid defensive player in the league?

If that didn't seal the deal, then I don't see how your assertions are anything but wishful thinking

Theory is that this contract offer plus a new DC keeps him in the fold.

Valid? Don't know.
