At the Marvin Ridge/Ardrey Kell game. It's amazing how big NFL players are that he can look like a pipsqueak child at times on Sundays, but he looks like a massive behemoth when surrounded by regular folks.

Good to see him soaking in football on his Friday night rather than going to Dwayne Jarrett's "Makin' It Rain" party last night.

Oh yeah, about the game itself: If you're a Gamecocks fan, things are looking up for you. MR receiver KJ Brent is the best high school receiver I've seen by a mile and he's a Gamecock commit. He and Marcus Lattimore are going to make that offense DANGEROUS next year. I couldn't believe some of the circus catches he was making last night.

Dwayne Jarret should look more into a "makin a catch" party. Might increase his NFL longevity.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Everette Brown as well, at last years season kickoff party out at Dan Morgan's restaurant. He's a stand-up guy who was extremely polite and respectful. After seeing the story of his upbringing, it didn't surprise me one bit.

I'm not the biggest Jarrett fan, but his throwing a party on a Friday night probably will not affect him one way or another. If he's going to suck, he'll suck regardless of having folks come over to his house two nights previous to the game.

Understood, but as I recall, one of the radio guys pointed out that Jarrett's had more parties than touchdowns.

There was talk about newfound maturity and focus in the preseason. I wonder if his not being named a starter has thrown that out the window.

Good question, and I hope not for his sake. If he wants to succeed, ths chance is there for the taking... he just has to want it bad enough.


Just seemed to me that people were getting a little too critical of his offtime is all. I mean, how would they like it if their customers complained that they are partying on a weekend night when the package that they expected to arrive on Thursday, wasn't going to get there until Monday. Flippant response aside, it amounts to about the same bitching in my book.
