This made me feel much better. We just got hosed on our home field by a team paying out 30 million dollars less than us. Great.

Well if you want to feel better, I think Jake counts for $12,000,000 and he's in Cleveland. Thomas Davis wasn't on the field either, so there wasn't as much of a gap as it appears.

I think we're around 80 million if you don't count the dead money (all the money we had to pay all the players we cut) Which realistically means we're on of the very bottom teams in spending.

if we resigned peppers we'd have gotten hosed by a team paying 50 million dollars less than us, plus Clausen didnt start

According to Forbes, the Panthers are the 12th most valuable franchise in the NFL. I think we are valued at $1.6 billion? Too lazy to google the article.

cowboys have the 2nd largest salary and the vikes have the 4th. both of them are 0-2. it could be worse.
