I haven't been accused of that one yet. Ditto Joe Person.

(is there a more generic name in the world?)

I'm not up for trading Smith at this point.

We know who you are Mr. Fowler. :D

i see you've only given out one pie slice in your whole forum posting career.

only sorenson would be that stingy with pie. there can be only one conclusion.

That was actually by accident. I was trying to quote and clicked the wrong place.

I don't even remember who it went to.

I just think that with the receivers that the Panthers have now even Peyton Manning would be just a mediocre quarterback. I'm not trolling. Heck I've had PSL's since year one and love the Panthers . I just don't hero worship these guys like some here do. If you tell me that Smith is still the same player he was when he was returning punts for TD's .....catching everything thrown his way..... then we just have a difference of opinion. I'd put him currently in about the 12-15 range in terms of best wide receivers in the game.

I agree. Smith is still a highly competitive receiver, but he is not as acrobatic as he once was. Inhuman catches have always been his signature, but as impressive as they are, they do not correct mistakes. Drops have been a problem for Smith over the last 3 years. The difference that 7 NFL years makes on the body since the Superbowl is not negligible.

But he is still our best receiver, and a better receiver than most teams have on their roster.

HAHAH okkkkk if Peyton Manning showed up...he'd make our receivers look like Pro-Bowlers. Dude just throws it where even I could catch the ball. Cmon now. QB's make WR's look good, they have NO control over where the ball is thrown to them.

is wondering whether Jimmy Clausen knows he should take measures to protect his eye socket when talking to Steve Smith.
