I don't understand why they invested all they did in him and he's inactive every week. He can't make things any worse. He's not learning anything wearing street clothes standing on the sideline.

it depends on if they weren't planning on him being a factor until next year anyway.

i don't think you can really judge players, esp. WRs and QBs, on their rookie year.

it takes most WRs a few years to be NFL ready.

Edwards wasn't drafted to be starting WR in 2010.

I will wait to make any judgments on AE until he plays a game. It is kinda sad tho.

but with what we gave up he was expected to contribute
you dont give up a 2nd rounder for a player that you expect to deactivate most of the season
there are plenty of WRs who were drafted after him who are getting plenty of clock, yet AE hasnt seen a snap yet. nobody expects him to be a starter but with what we gave up, we expect him to be out there making catches

Considering the pick isn't technically used until next year, I believe you have to at least give it until the end of said year to make a judgement.

Bottom line is the pick was an extreme reach and risk at the same time... as of right now, it is looking like a boneheaded move...

We have 2 Wide Receivers out. If we don't activate him and he sees the field then he was a garbage selection and the FO now believes it too.

Name a WR we have selected under Fox that panned out?

They should at least activate him and bring him in during garbage time if we're ahead, or when we're being blown out. Like Jimmy, nothing beats in-game experience. Armanti learns next to nothing watching from a bench. We're 0-4, we will not be going to the Playoffs, bring the kid in during the 4th when the game is already won or lost. This week? No. I think the Bears game is going down to the wire. Our best option is to sign a FA as our #3. A guy with playing experience.
