E CaT PanTHer 114 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Did anyone else watch John Fox's post game interview? He was talking about how the last team that started a rookie QB and 2 rookie WR's went 2-14. He then subsequently said, "I hope we can be a little better than that." Ummmm hello?? We've only played 5 games this year. We can still go 8-8, 7-9, hell even 6-10. But to say hopefully you'll be a little better than 2-14 just shows that John Fox has completely given up on this team. I don't care who you are, but as an NFL head coach, what kind of message are you sending your players by saying something like that? The players have all the right to give up on this bum if they want. If John Fox is content with 2-14, then you might as well get his ass out of here right now. mav1234 3,230 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 I really doubt Fox is aiming for 2-14, but he's being realistic. It is what it is, and even he is having a hard time buying what it is. Fox is faced with coaching a team that is not anything like he would ever want to. From day one, he has been a huge proponent of veteran depth first, rookies learning, and only starting when they win jobs from veterans - not releasing all the veterans and letting the rooks fight over the positions. Urrymonster 39 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Oh for goodness sake. Why is literally every single thing that someone says on this team a sign that they have 'given up'?! The man said that hopefully we can be better than 2-14, at the moment we are 0-5... Frankly it sounds to me more like quiet confidence, in that he will be surprised if we finish that or worse. People need to stop over analysing every single thing our FO, staff or players say or do. They are just doing what they think is best for the franchise. Fans who only obsess with the immediate success will never see eye to eye with the people who have to protect the long term interests of a business and a sports franchise. Khyber53 4,088 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 At this point, I'm not sold on us reaching 2-14.
WhiteKnight 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Considering what we saw yesterday, 2-14 would be a good prediction.
LiQuiD 59 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 I could see us being a little better than 2-14... I honestly think 3-13 is a definite possibility.
CRA 13,939 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 if Clausen finishes out the season. I think we win 1 game. Anything more will be b/c the D starts scoring points. I think Moore could win us a few more games. Only b/c he is a gunslinger and is willing to throw downfield. He would hit a couple eventually.
