6. Dallas Cowboys (8-5) at 3. Minnesota Vikings (8-5)
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-4) at 4. Arizona Cardinals (8-5)
Byes: 1. New York Giants (11-2), 2. Carolina Panthers (10-3)

If this is how it played out, who would we play, the winner of Dallas vs Minny or winner of Tampa vs Arizona?

Depends; we'd play the highest seed remaining. So if Minnesota and Arizona win, we'd play Minnesota, if Tampa and Dallas won, we'd play Tampa, etc.

We would play whichever one of the winners was the highest seed.

*edit - UNCrules2187 beat me to the punch.

No, but there are other playoff scenarios in which we could play Dallas.

Nope. Read the fine print.

The NFL playoffs are not based on a pure bracket system. In the divisional playoffs, the No. 1 seed is assured of playing the lowest-seeded Wild Card survivor. There are no restrictions on intra-division games and the higher seed of any matchup will have home-field advantage.

True, the NFC is so tight this year, things could easily change drastically in just one week.

Me too. I'm pretty sure the Panthers would own them in Charlotte.

True. They still need to win at least 2 of the 3 remaining games to guarantee the 1st round bye.
