For some odd reason, I think its going to be someone that none of us are talking/thinking about.

I think that could very well be the case

2007 NFL Draft: OMFG. I WANT JAMARCUS RUSSELL HE IS SUCH A GREAT PASSER AND RUNNER; JUST LOOK AT HIM IN COLLEGE IN THAT SYSTEM TAILORED FOR PURE ATHLETICISM.

2009 NFL Draft: OMFG. I WANT PAT WHITE HE IS SUCH A GREAT PASSER AND RUNNER; JUST LOOK AT HIM IN COLLEGE IN THAT SYSTEM TAILORED FOR PURE ATHLETICISM.

2011 NFL Draft: OMFG. I WANT CAM NEWTON HE IS SUCH A GREAT PASSER AND RUNNER; JUST LOOK AT HIM IN COLLEGE IN THAT SYSTEM TAILORED FOR PURE ATHLETICISM.

See I worry about McDermontt. His defense has been severely lacking w/ Samuel, and we don't have a Samuel, if you know what I mean...

to me Rivera should be the top Defensive candidate. That Chargers Defense is stout. Idk what the hell happened to Leslie Fraizer's D.

of course #1 is Harbaugh, but my hopes have faded :(

i myself am starting to ease off mcdermott because that eagles defense is continually sliding down the rankings every single week

Something to consider also with McDermott is the Eagles 3rd down & redzone defense, b/c that's where they have really fallen off. He's still near the top of my list, but yeah, its beginning to make my hopes for the guy a little shaky.

so the moral here is to pick a coach that can tailor a system to a QB that can utilize his pure athleticism!? ALRIGHT! Sounds good! ;P

when the eagles make the playoffs, his defense needs to step it up because the only reason they're 9-4 right now is because of the way Vick is running that offense

if it's january and their offense is still having to win by 3 points even though they're scoring in the high 20s, he might be off my wish list

Since when was Pat White considered a first round pick?

This thread is now 1156 posts long - 116 pages on standard settings - and I'm not sure it's practical for anyone wanting to catch up on the discussion (even with links in the initial post).

I'm thinking of doing a new version, pared down to only the most serious candidates, which at this point I would consider to be the following.

- Harbaugh

- Grimm

- Rivera

- McDermott

- Fewell

I'm open to suggestions on whether that pool needs to be expanded (though I really don't think so) or shortened. And if so, who do I add or remove?

I would have to say Harbaugh an Mcdermott..I dont think Harbaugh wants to come to the league. An i dont think Mcdermott is ready to be a head coach.

An Mr. scot when will the profile for Fewell be up..

Do it and I will replace this one with the new one.

...If we had Harbaugh & Cowher discussion separated into their own threads, this would probably be only 4 pages long haha
