Best Article Written About Failure of John Fox and Coaching Staff

116 posts in this topic

I hope Moore comes in and finishes out the season or even better sign a vet and finish out the rest of the year. We are ruining our QB's by getting them killed every down and creating bad habits. I would say just let Clausen ride the pine until the new coaching staff arrives.

The colmn summed the opinions of many fans, and its the best piece written?

Doesn't take much to impress y'all.

Ain't that the truth. Where did all of these sheep come from anyway?

Article is spot on. Probably didn't directly name the sources to avoid getting them fired?

whether or not he gives a poo is irrelevant, he's fielding one of the worst teams in the league right now. So what if he wants to win, you think that sways me one inch? Everybody wants to win.

i wouldn't chalk it up to carelessness on his part, it's more like a lack of confidence, vigor, and poise, 3 things that help make a great coach, and three things that John Fox has lacked since after 2005.

Sorry RB, this thread is now about the validity of the source quoted in the article, not whether the content was correct.

Well, Fox will be gone next year regardless, but you can't blame him for not doing his job when the the FO took away the players he wanted. He is a defensive minded coach, in the first place, and the defense is doing just fine right now.

LMAO

Davidson "Hey Fox, should we install some blitz pickup packages for the niners?"

Fox "Nah, maybe if Moose and Hoover were still here, why bother with Gettis and Fiammetta, they'll just get beat"

Not about either of those things really. It a bashing article about Fox by a reported NFL executive who is unwilling to say it in public. Big deal. Isn't the first time that has happened. But the article proves nothing, breaks no new ground or tells us anything even the casual huddle poster doesn't already know. So it is no big deal and certainly not a well written article or expose of any sort.

And it won't exactly ramp up any pressure on Fox who is gone already.

"There is not an easier team in the league to defend against."

So we all knew the above was true before this article? Ok, I can roll with that.

So what, in your opinion P55, does this say about Fox and his staff?

Not much different than most of us have been saying, time to move on.

As for things like not having any hot reads on blitzes, you ought to be looking at Clausen on that on if it was a game he started. I promise you that Jake had them installed last year as did Moore. If there aren't now it is part of dumbing down the playbook for Clausen. That is what happens when you go with a rookie. I am not surprised.
