Peyton Manning's first three starts were pretty bad. 8 Interceptions, 7 sacks, and only two td's. All three games were losses by a combined total of 95-27.

Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game.

Obviously the players at Polk High were juicing.

17 of 35 for 180 with 0 TDs and 2 Ints in a loss to NO

13 of 23 for 241 with 1 TDs and 2 Ints in a loss to Atl

6 of 21 for 83 with 0 TDs and 2 Ints in a loss to Was

1 of 6 for 11 yards in a loss to NYG

Before getting benched for Steve Walsh, 6 Ints to 1 TD...

Stats don't tell the whole story and never do. Clausen hasn't looked like he has belonged at all. Other rookies have so that argument is out the window. Throw in the fact that he has had a QB coach since he was 10, has a pedigree or something, came from the QB guru himself in college, played in the same offense, was the most NFL ready, and came out early but is still old for a rookie and it's cause for concern. Most people just want to see a flash or something and it's not there, despite what we were told he was.

That's the same logic employed by Clausen sack-slurpers on this board. Clausen doesn't lose games by himself, but Matt Moore does. It's not Clausen's fault (insert negative play result here) happened, but Matt Moore is to blame for (insert another negative play result here).

"Carolina losses weren't Jimmy's fault and Jimmy is overrated anyways."
