Greatest African American in history

43 posts in this topic

I could pick the greatest white American. Ronald Wilson Reagan, baby.

I gotta go with my homeboy, Cassius Clay. So sad that Parkinson's has taken away his ability to speak. He really is a great guy, and not just a great athlete. I don't think he had anything for Tyson, though. Ali in his prime and Tyson in his prime? TKO in three.

I assume you mean Ali would have crushed a hack like Tyson. He would have toyed with Mike, snapping his head back with a jab as he tried to come in.

No way in hell. Tyson in his prime was unstoppable. Ali was the greatest ring showman ever, but I wouldn't even put him in the top five of boxers all time. And I love the guy.

    • The TB is an excellent place to guess where posters get their news from. You have the typical NYT, Wapo, Huffpo "progressives"  Then you have your typical (old fug) corporate dem CNN, MSNBC viewers/readers. Next for the left is the radical SJW knee jerk Buzzfeed, Salon, Being Liberal zombies. The right side of the spectrum follows the same trend... FOX News crusty establishment types. Then Alt Light/Alt Right Breitbart, Drudge Report. Then hysterical (admittedly entertaining) Infowars.   Fun times....
    • see ya bigcat, thought you were a funny dude.
    • Sorry to hear about your bro. Keep pounding.  Enjoyed the back and forth we had.  Come back and visit when we bring home that ring though
