Another specific documented issue countered with "sounds about" generic scary union scariness

I've seen union BS firsthand in local politics

I'm going to go with what Jimmy Carter said last night, he said if the repubs win majority in the house it will help Obama. Meaning, the republicans have fillibustered everything that they try to pass, now that they have majority more of them are going to feel like they have a obligation to do what's right by the American people. I think either way is good for Obama.

One of the BEST political cartoons I have seen in years.

Elections are about voting for the lesser of two evils.....

I'm kinda excited about some possible gridlock here, since my party always gets its ass handed to it.

Not in my opinion. Voting for the lesser of two evils means your still voting for evil. This is why status-quo politics is a problem. If there's no one worth voting for then don't vote...all youre doing is enabling this continuance.

And by not voting, you are changing what exactly?

Helping to essentially strengthen a boycott of our corrupt system, of course. I know it may not seem like much, but its important people stand up for their principles, no matter how steep the hill is. Why vote for the "lesser" of two evils if you view them as evil in the first place? This just goes to show there is no choice when it comes to politics in America. We have the opportunity to vote for evil or evil. Does no one else see anything wrong with this?

If "none of the above" were an option, and I think it should be, then I would be right there with you. I would love to see it where if "None of the above" won, every one would have to come up with new offerings. But, since one of the offerings is going to win, no matter what, I choose to use my vote to at least attempt to choose the best available option as I see it.
