I'll have to check it out this weekend. I've been putting off watching that one forever for some reason.

Just a high concept revenge flick...part of a trilogy that all was on Netflix at one point.

I do the same, I have a ton of Asian movies I want to see but those are more for myself as my wife may not want to see IP Man 2!

There's this psychological "thriller" on there called Exam. It's not really a thriller, but one of those movies with a great concept and decent enough acting that will probably get you thinking. Good, but not great. Worth a watch though.

The Imposter

Probably the best documentary I've seen this year:

1556gt0.jpg

A documentary centered on a young Frenchman who claims to a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who has been missing for 3 years.

I've got Grabber (2012) in my DVD queue and I see that it supposed to be available for streaming as well..oh yea!!!!

Basic Premise is aliens invade an Irish Island and the only way to survive is to get your blood alcohol up which makes you poisonous to the aliens or something like that. Sounds cool, doubt it reaches Dale and Tucker or Shawn of the Dead levels, but it should have some laughs.

That's odd. I added it to MyList, but haven't watched it yet. Wife is traveling and wants to watch it also.

I liked it. Love me some cheesy horror.

I highly recommend Somm. It's a documentary that follows 4 sommeliers as they try to pass the Master Sommelier exam. It's just fascinating to watch the amount of dedication, and in a real sense the obsession they have with wine, and passing this exam. And the blind tastings (where they taste a glass of wine and have to guess what it is, where it's from, what year, etc.) is some of the most intriguing footage I've ever seen in a documentary.

Fringe benefit; we went to a swanky restaurant and I recognized the Sommelier pin on the lapel of the guy I would have otherwise thought was the bar manager, and talked about the movie with him. Turns out he knew several of the people, and we talked about the exam. Dude took care of us all night after that, recommendations and free tastes of crazy expensive wines.

Has anyone seen the documentary about "Skatopia?" If not, you should check it out. I would say it's comparable to "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of WV."
