With out question we should be picking at minimum in the top 3. What position or player would you take?

Currently I would look at these 4 in no particular order. Green being the sexy pick and Peterson being the one I hope they make but hate the idea of paying a CB that kind of money.

Bowers DE Clemson
Amukamara CB Nebraska
Green WR Georgia
Peterson CB LSU

How about trade down for the entire 7th round?

with the first pick in the draft?

meeks has done well with whatever gets thrown his way, so no need to burn that pick on a defensive player.

no need to draft a wr when there's no one to throw the ball to him...

...that leaves a QB for carolina's first pick.

BTW unless we can trade down watching Stanford play this year if we don't pick luck with the first pick it would be the Dumbest decision in panther history.

Watching him play right now, he's the f'n man! If he's there, I don't care if we have Clausen he's a for sure future star.

CB is really deep. I can see us trading down a couple times and still getting a very good starter there.

My best case scenario...
#1 overall pick, sell Luck to the Bills for the #2 and #34 overall picks.
Trade down again to the 7-10 range and get another 2nd.

1) Prince Amukamara CB
2A) Ryan Broyles, WR
2B) Mike Pouncey, OG

Only in a perfect world. Why would Buffalo give up that much just for Luck? QB is pretty deep.

Alot of people have a huge gap in talent between Luck and their #2 QB (being either Locker or Mallett depending on who you talk to). If you look at the QB prospects as being a Peyton Manning/Ryan Leaf situation then it's really not out of the question. Sell the idea that you will draft Luck yourself or trade down to someone else who will and the Bills would have to trade up if they want him.

Honestly, I think the most unlikely trade in my scenario would be trading down the 2nd time after Luck is off the board, even though you're trading down more spots for the same price.

Like you said though, this is all pretty much perfect world/dream scenario type stuff.

It all depends on who we hire as coach, and if Hurney is still here. Hurney will not draft a QB. If Hurney isn't here, then Luck is ours, and Jimmy is trade bait.

All depends on who has the first. Has anyone noticed Ricky Stanzi? He has looked better than both Locker and Mallet.

Jimmy is proved his ineptitude to playing in the NFL. He can't throw over the line. He has to be on the move to be effective.

I'm all for a QB.

I'm in the "Trading down for another 2nd" is a possibility crowd.
Depends on what happens over the course of the next 5 months really, though.
