If Obama goes ahead with a Socialist agenda, I hope he fails too. and it likely will, as it always has.

How does one define successful?

Truth is, you can't. Clinton could be called successful, with how the economy was and all that, but yet republicans despise him. Reagon could be called successful, but yet democrats hate him. Realize this people: It's basically like a football game to a lot of people, they only care about their party winning and not their country winning. I think it's possible for a president to succeed on the left OR the right. Now is the time to stand behind the guy, like his party or not, and hope he gets us moving in the right direction (and if you honestly expect big results in only 3-4 years, you are nuts, it's a 8 year thing ).

Agreed. I hope Obama and the Republicans work together and get this country back up on its feet. Not a big fan of Pelosi or any of those turds, but I am hopeful that Obama can be like Clinton, and work with the other side. But...one caveat...if he starts pushing a socialist agenda (something he can't realistically do right now) once things DO get going again, I cannot hope he succeeds.

Harry Reid, Pelosi, and Billary at his side will not work out well for him. IMO

This thread is stupid. Make this thread in 3 years from now, after the Panthers have won 2 superbowls, and then bash the guy. He hasn't even started yet!

So to get it straight what everyone's saying here, you'd prefer to live in a poo hole than to live in a successful, well balanced country that's run under a system you don't like?

Nope.

People here are saying that if Obama is going to implement a socialist type agenda we hope that he fails in that area of his Presidency.

Yeah, the introduction of hundreds of Norweigan bikini models to the Huddle would be quite devastating.

Yea Norway....there's a concept.

4.8 million total people.......About the same as South Carolina.

I wonder if that would make running a country easier?

They also have a 16% higher per capita GDP than us... it's a lot easier to socialize when

1) You have less people
2) your country is generally more wealthy.

thats what I was saying.

It's much easier to solve every problem when you have 4 million compared to over 300 million.

then there is the sheer size of our country, and the differences of all of the people that make up this "melting pot".
