The whole premise of this stupid write-up is that DeAngelo might be free because there have been no contract negotiations. The author fails to realize the Panthers haven't talked contract with ANYONE yet because they are waiting to see what the new CBA looks like.

I have it on good authority that we are set to push forward without him, with Stewart, Goodson, and Sutton...
if they let Peppers and then Williams both just walk out the door getting nothing for them......then Carolina is legitimately on its way to being a poor franchise. People can spout "build through the draft" all they want. Good teams don't let top talent walk and get nothing.
