Stopped by practice today...

Fox asked me if I had played any offensive line on the way out of practice, I responded "yeah, in high school" and he told me to leave my name with someone (didn't catch the name he gave, wasn't Hurney). Asked Beason on the way out of practice if he felt okay and he said the knee was fine and he would be out there on Sunday. Solomon Wilcots (from the NFL network) was observing practice as well.
Caught them working on the 2 minute drill... 1st defense vs. 1st team offense. First series I saw was rough, St. Pierre threw a good ball to Gettis on a slant that Gettis bobbled but eventually secured. Had this been real action I'm pretty sure a hit would have rendered it an incomplete pass. The second play was batted down by a defensive lineman (not sure who) and the third play was easily picked off by Chris Gamble.
They reset and the next series was better, St. Pierre connected on a few short passes and then threw one to Smith in the end zone that hung up in the air and would probably have been picked in live action. The thing I noticed is that St. Pierre seems to get the ball out quickly and throws short passes with good accuracy but not much velocity.
Didn't catch Pike doing anything. No Stewart or Clausen at practice today. Didn't see Devin Thomas doing anything besides watching... didn't notice how much work Armanti was getting, didn't see him take any snaps (but may have missed it).

Speaking of Smith, he actually acknowledged my presence today, LOL. He normally just walks by with his head down and/or his helmet on and doesn't even look over at the fans standing along the fence, but today he made eye contact and when I said "have a good game", he said "hey thanks big man". I think he's seen me around enough at this point to realize I'm not some autograph hound.

Wait you are getting recruited to play? I live right next to the practice fields. Let me slip into my mesh tank top and tell me where to stand.
Yup, I left my name with them - they said they might call as late as Sunday morning to see if I was available, no practice required. I mean if they can start a QB on 4 days of practice, the can start an offensive lineman with no practice, right?

I'm more surprised that he didn't ask you if you played QB.
I'm just like Jamarcus Russell except I have no arm and I haven't touched the Purple Drank in at least a week (okay that's a lie).

You will be asked to stand beside Armanti and work with him on the field. How about that?

This season would actually be sad, if it wasn't so funny.
So many things have gone wrong, it's really not worth getting upset over anymore.

I laugh, however it does suck to not even want to watch the games....I still do, but I certainly don't get too excited about it.
