Why is "quarterback situation" capitalized?

Actually, the letters Q and B are capitalized, which symbolizes the position of Quarterback. The word situation remains in lowercase.

Lets look at his collegiate statistics.

It is very hard for me to take D-II AND College stats seriously in the same situation. Besides, looking at his interception numbers...I had immediate flashbacks of Jake Delhomme (circa 2009).

You mean Football Championship Subdivision formerly known as Div 1-AA.

Lets take a look at some NFL Players out of the Div 1-AA or FCS and lower divisions.

Brian Westbrook - Villanova
Marques Colston - Hofstra
Kurt Warner - Northern Iowa
Joe Flacco - Delaware
Donald Driver - Alcorn State
Darren Sharper - William and Mary
Tim Hightower - Richmond
Tony Romo - Eastern Illinois
Terrell Owens - Tennessee at Chattanooga
Visanthe Shiancoe - Morgan State
Jeremiah Trotter - Stephen F. Austin
Vincent Jackson - Northern Colorado
Jared Allen- Idaho State
Jerry Rice - Miss Valley State
Walter Payton - Jackson State

Agreed thats a very exceptional list.

And 14,000+ Total Yards in a career doesn't stand out to you? Thats great on ANY level.

It's a silly petition, that's why. I'd rather sign off on a petition to get rid of the chicken scratch "Carolina" and "Panthers" is written in, in the end zones.

And I agree, it is a silly petition. One I'm hoping will get enough signatures to get on the news of some sort. Maybe a headline in the paper, hell I don't care. I just want to see the kid play, so I made a petition. This probably wasn't the best place to post it if I wanted to get into a detailed discussion with senior members on the forums as to why this is such a ridiculous petition. But what else is there for me to enjoy about this season?

By the way, I absolutely love your mint berry crunch signature. Great Episode.

It took 6 months to get the logos on the field....just sayin'. Plus as has been pointed out Edwards is a receiver now, not a QB.

I know he is listed at WR. He is a project at that position though, which will take some fine tuning and probably another year to adapt. He has experience at QB, and the reason why they haven't played him at that position yet is because in college he ran the Spread Offense and that is no possibility in the NFL. I would like to see Carolina try it one day, hell with all the speed we have now we should play a game in the Spread, try it out in my opinion.

"I think you'd prefer to leave him at wide receiver because that's where he's been practicing," head coach John Fox said. "What kind of plays he would have, I can't really answer yet. I'm not sure he's even taken a snap from under center. ... We'll experiment. We'll look at it. Whether or not that's the route we'll go, I honestly can't answer that."
