$150,000,000 spent on Obama Inaguration

56 posts in this topic

i know this is old news, but i did not see it posted up anywhere...

you would think that with the economy being the way it is, that Obama would be a little more concious about spending. 150 million dollars was spent on the Obama inaguration...what a complete waste. i think that is disgusting. how about you do something useful with that money barry, like put it toward the private sector. lets create some jobs bud.

funny how back in '04 the media had a field day with the $43,000,000 that was spent on the Bush inaguration. but no, Obama spends over 300% of what Bush spent, and you dont hear a lick about it from the media. typical.

that 150,000,000 figure for Obama includes security and transportation.

that 43,000,000 figure for Bush does not.

Bush's 2004 inauguration cost $157,000,000.

So you are telling me Obama's group was able to get three times as many people there for less money?

Sounds right.

    • I'm somewhat concerned over Cam's shoulder - but the LB group really has me worried. Luke's concussion really has me freaked out still... and I pray that TD's ACL continues to be strong.
    • The best part about trying to discuss racism or privelege with people is how when you mention these terms they immediately go to "I've worked for everything I ever had, nothing was ever handed to me", demonstrating that they don't understand what privelege is and how it's not an accusation. And instead of listening to what you say, they're in defensive mode and spend the entire argument denying that they are racist, dominate the conversation, and don't learn anything, and you never even accused them of being a racist to begin with. It's exhausting.
    • The KB hate is ridiculous. Blaming him for hogging targets that should have gone to Ginn? First of all, Ginn had more receptions and yards in 2016 than 2015. Sure he went down in TDs, but I'd expect KB to always have more TDs. Second, how do people forget that in his first game back from ACL that he was our best offensive weapon against the vaunted Denver D? We scored 20 (should have been 23) points against Denver with KB and 10 in the SB without and our offense was actually -5 based on turnovers.

It gets tiring to see the revisionist history trying to blame KB for our offensive drop because he was a target hog.

I'll throw out that if KB played in the SB we would have won. In 3 games against Denver Cotchery and Ginn had 7 receptions for 96 yards and caused an INT/muffed a huge pass before the step sack for a TD, regardless of replay officials. In 1 game against Denver KB had 6 receptions for 91 yards and a TD.
