I say give Hackett one more year to also learn our system and stay healthy, I like him and Jarret, but if Hackett doesn't work out I also think Jarret will be a steady #2, and I only mean steady, not good

I agree, I was really hyped to get him last year and I do think he will be good here as well as Jarrett and Moose still has a few years to contribute as well. I am surprised there hasn't been any Holt talk lately, he's probably gonna get cut or traded. I know he's getting old and I'm not even sure I would want him unless it was cheap but I see him playing forever like Rice. I am not too worried about our receiving game cause we have the best rb tandem in the nfl so we don't have to have 3 #1 receivers.

Stand pat

Work both Hackett & Jarrett in more

And for 3 WR's sets

Line up Stewart & Williams in backfield with one splitting out to WR

With both on field at same times would create Defensive problems

If we could actually execute screen plays to any kind of success man that would make my day, and make it a really bad thing for defenses.

I just get the feeling that defenses know that poo isn't going to certain places. Like they don't have to play honest in most situations, because of our tendency to not do certain things.

Draft Tate, Harvin, and Hartwell.

I am a HUGE SEC fan, and love Florida and Harvin, but he wouldn't be one of the top 4 I would take.

(and yes I know hes good)

This to me is one of the biggest mysteries of the 2008 season...Davidson comes from a team in NE who are very good at screens. I wonder how much of it has to do with a totally reshaped OL? The OL has to be perfectly in synch to run a screen well.

Not saying add per se. Need to find one that is dependable both with catching the ball and actually being in the game.

I understand, just being sarcastic per se. I'd love to see us add a quality receiver to our mix, but only after we've addressed a number of other issues and I don't see it possible to do...

Not a concern imo, maybe pick up a cheap FA, but nothing else. This off-season is to rebuild that defense, last year was the offense.

Seriously I am not going on a Jake bashing spree here, but he doesn't look comfortable throwing screens. He throws it all weird out there in the flat.

That's what I think. If we can work on that and use them more often, we will move the chains a lot more.
