Non Christians celebrating Christmas...

Recommended Posts

Since the "date" isn't nailed down in text....it's not about the date.

It's simply the appreciation of the event. It could happen July 4th for all that matters. A day is no more stolen a day than the fact my birthday may fall on George Washington's birthday.

If you're focusing on the specific day, the presents, a tree, ornaments, etc.....then why bother unless you're just simply wanting to play along. Because of all the people that will boast the pagan idoltry that's "creeped" into Christmas, I seriously doubt they're pagans either. So what's the point.

LOL you blindly accept the newer version of the story, because you have faith... So, you are comfortable playing along while celebrating an event which, for all we know historically, never even took place...

It didn't creep into it, it's based on it.

You know more know that the event did not take place than if Aristotle actually existed.

You see, Aristotle actually left behind things called writings... with like, his name on it and stuff...

Everything you have is based on second/third/and even further than 4th generation oral tradition...

So first hand accounts (gospels) aren't legitimate...

got it.

I'm not saying someone named Jesus never existed... I'm saying that the numerous similar stories about him and the similar sun worship rituals that predate his time are kind of a big coincidence... no?
