Since the "date" isn't nailed down in text....it's not about the date.
It's simply the appreciation of the event. It could happen July 4th for all that matters. A day is no more stolen a day than the fact my birthday may fall on George Washington's birthday.
If you're focusing on the specific day, the presents, a tree, ornaments, etc.....then why bother unless you're just simply wanting to play along. Because of all the people that will boast the pagan idoltry that's "creeped" into Christmas, I seriously doubt they're pagans either. So what's the point.
