That I did not know at all, cool.

Well, I feel a bit more confident now... :D

If he were projected as a mid first rounder, I think he'd be a lock to return to Stanford. But, in his current situation, he's the consensus #1 overall, and it's not close. Set financially or not, he'd be gambling tens of millions of dollars that he doesn't slide at all or that some other QB doesn't catch fire and bump him down. Or he could get hurt and lose all of it.

I also think too much is being made of the Harbaugh/Luck connection. They're not as tethered as it's made out.

Anyways, I'd be very surprised if he doesn't declare.

Just a thought about Grimm. The Steelers knew him best and did not make him their HC. Seems a bit concerning.

As for Grimm, I doubt it. Every media outlet close to the team is reporting that the team is leaning towards a young, energetic coordinator on the rise. MAYBE a college coach.

Grimm is an older guy who has been pretty stagnant in his coaching progression for a while now. No team has been willing to bump him to a coordinator position. He's mostly been responsible for the OLine and running game wherever he's gone and doesn't have a lot of positives to show for it.

He's kind of the antithesis of what we're supposedly looking for.

Joe Gibbs knows him better than the Steelers do, and thinks he will be an excellent coach.

Given the Skins history, I would think that them not hiring him is actually a positive for him. Only two Redskins coaches have had more than one winning season in the last 40 years, and both of them were named Gibbs. And the Cardinals have had even less success. Wisenhunt has been ok, other than that nothing.

It's easy to believe we have an interest in Grimm, but I think Perry Fewell will be our next HC.

i'd rather have fewell, but still i really don't think that the panthers are going to make a predictable (for the panthers) hire. it is going to be completely outside of their box and with an eye for the long term.
