because he doesn't take chances. checkdowns don't cut it in this league. when it is 3rd and 17, a 5 yard checkdown rarely gets it done.
he's thrown more TDs to opposing teams than he has his own. that folks is a sign of a garbage QB.

I agree. But regardless he doesnt throw alot.

He can throw the ball to the sideline pretty well.

He is rarely called for a block in the back penalty.

He just does not take chances at throwing the long ball.

He seems to give the impression that he does not have adult level social skills, including leadership skills.

He needs to see a Sports Psychologist.

In the games he's started he doesnt throw many ints.

I wouldn't say 5 INTS in 7 starts is good. It isn't horrific like we have seen but that isn't really good. He has 7 turnovers in his 7 starts. A turnover a game isn't protecting the ball...that is actually high considering the fact he isn't throwing much or downfield.

He has 9 turnovers. 8 starts this year.

We've grown accustomed to much, much worse. 9 turnovers in 8 starts for us is like manna from heaven.

as much as i hated delhomme in his last 2 years here, he at least took shots downfield. it pains me to say it, but i'd rather have #17 under center than the pickle.

sure, too bad most of his shots down the field were game-losing interceptions. at best with Jake we are 4-12, and not only would we suck, we would still need to draft a QB, and wouldn't be able to draft Luck.

he still gets on that field Sunday after Sunday with the mess he has been dealt. A Coach that could give a poo, a make shift team to get through a lockout year, an oline that couldnt block if their lives depended on it and a receiving corp that cant get open during the 2 seconds of pass protection he is given, a QB coach that as far as I can tell should never be allowed to coach a young qb again. All of this on top of a booing crowd. Jimmy Clausen, I salute you.

lol didn't he get picked on a checkdown against the Seahawks? I almost laughed at that one.

Meh, could be. Looked like Fiammetta was trying to run a route, though.

Over a season it would give him around eleven or twelve. Id consider that good. Wasnt asked why or how it would happen. Now combined with the rest of his stats, it really doesnt matter. But I decided to nitpick.
