According to Zillow that house was listed for sale in June...

Yep. He knew what was coming.

It's been a while since I've gone past his house (don't judge me, I know somebody that's practically a neighbor of his) and I don't remember it looking like that from the outside although it's not a close shot. But he does definitely live in Waxhaw and not Piper Glen (unless that's changed recently). More Marvin though than Waxhaw.

He lives in Skyecroft, an amazing community in Weddington, near Aero Plantation. I've been behind the "Agent 89" Bentley several times heading home from work.

yep, also a lot of guys who go to new teams later in their careers also don't exactly pack up and move everything to a new city. they temporarily live their during the season.

Good point, but if you believe the story about the closed-door meeting with JR the other day, the timing of this seems ominous...

I think he is following JR's play and downsizing to a double-wide.

Even if he leaves, we get $7 million in cap room to lure a #1 WR. Smitty is great, but not with the current QBs. We need luck to prevent this from happening again. Smitty has problems and his attitude will poison the locker room until he is gone. I understand his frustration, it is directly linked with the drive to overcome his obstacles to be the best. I think we need a younger, bigger #1 WR and I think he needs a change of scenery.
