How would yall fell if Randy Moss was signed??

Just a thought

I'd be pissed. I want nothing to do with Randy Moss. It's not going to happen though, no possible way.

He's our best receiver, even if he's a bit too expensive and he injures his teammates.

If this is the last year he has trade value, then I wouldn't take less than an early second round pick + some upgrade at another position.

I do not agree with giving Smitty a trade so he can get a chance to win a Super Bowl.

You trade a player when you feel you can get a lot for the player before his usefulness is gone.

This isn't farking Superbowl ring welfare we're running here, it's a franchise. You want to be gone? Wait until your contract expires and go free agent. Otherwise, you're the property of the Carolina Panthers. If they feel they have to have him to win games...drop the "trade me" crap...because you're paid to play a game for the team you're contracted with.

Mick Mixon says if Smitty and his family REALLY want out of town, Big Cat will do what he can to make that happen..

It hurts to let him go but let's not twist the knife and do something stupid like get nothing for him.

I say make Smitty STAY!
He's a great receiver with fantastic body control and phenomenal feel for the ball.
He's under contract, so make him play.
We have NOBODY that can replace him and there isn't a single free agent that I'd rather see in the Panther uniform. If after 2 years with Cam he still wants to leave, then he can. But until then I say SUIT UP 89!

Smitty is a competitor and he will not sandbag 2 years just cause he thinks JR is a jerk. He will be back to his HOF career stats next year.

Smith has been great for us, but he does not have hall of fame stats. That's probably through no fault of his own though. He has played his entire career with average at best Qb's on a run heavy team.

I don't really care if you all don't like to read what I am about to post...

but...

The #89 jersey should be retired faster than #51 was... and Smitty's statue should be made of steel...

Oh yeah, that OT touchdown catch against the rams that sent us to Philly to play the eagles in the NFC championship game was meaning less... and then to the superbowl after that...

I'll be surprised to see this happen, but I'd be all for it.. Smitty is one main reason this franchise has had success the last 10 years.. the man put this franchise on his back and carried it for years.

we went to the NFC Championship in 05 with 1 receiver. Find me another team that will ever resemble that again.

He caught everyone, including us fans by surprise. I commend him for his effort and especially his heart on the field.

I salute you Smitty. You can really catch and run and jump good!

ALL that said...if he wants out...bye.
