Most likely a 3rd rd draft choice but at the most a 3rd rd this year and a 4th rd next year,in my opinion.

With Smitty, you know what you are getting. With a 3rd rounder, who the fug knows.

So I say 3rd+4th. How many players in the 3rd or 4th round will make the impact Smitty will over the next 3-4 seasons?

Hell, how many 2nd rounders?

might pull off a 3rd, more likely a 4th.

only thing i would use that pick for, though, is as a trade to get another vet WR. package it with another pick to get a serious upgrade.

I think Smitty could be worth a low 2nd round pick, to the right team. A team that's so loaded with 2nd round picks it could wipe its ass with one and hand it to us, because chances are his production over the next 3-4 years with the right QB and the right system would probably dominate most 2nd round receivers.

Quick, someone name all the 2nd round busts we've drafted to play that you would trade for Smitty in a heartbeat if you could make that call.

Armanti Edwards.

Eric Shelton.

Dwayne Jarret.

Kerry Colbert.

The Browns, Chiefs, Bears, San Diego, Dallas, would all be dumb as poo not to give up a 3rd+4th for Smitty, among others.

I know we wouldn't trade him to a Div Rival, but Atlanta, NO, and Tampa could all use him for a 3rd rounder. Green Bay. Minnesota. None of these teams have a top 3 that Smitty couldn't crack.
