...or explain how giving 4 billion dollars to ACORN is "economic stimulus"?

(and the 'b' there is not a typo; it's billion)

John Boehner was actually the one who brought it up. It's just under 4.2 billion and falls under the description "neighborhood stabilization activities".

Regardless of it being ACORN or any similar group, how exactly is this "stimulus" rather than "pork" or "payout"?

ACORN's not getting 4 billion dollars by the way. ACORN hasn't currently been promised a penny.

It's called bending the truth till it breaks a few vertebrae.

Oh. Well, with the stimulus thats the only question I am worried about. How many people will it gainfully employ.

I heard it was an enviromental study regarding the shortage of acorns and the impact on the hunting industry. :)

Did anyone seriously think a 900 billion stimulus package would not have pork from both sides attached?

Still let's wait till at least the thing gets through Congress before we start bitching and moaning.

Was that so difficult? We need to come together in these difficult times. :)
