The amount of fail in this thread is unbearable.

I don't understand. He had a falling out with Fox. Fox is leaving.

Gamble is our best corner. He's under contract. Why the hell would we cut or trade him when our other starting corner is most likely on his way out as well? That would immediately make CB just as big a need as DT this off season. We're supposed to be addressing our current needs right now, not creating more of them.

I think Gamble sees that Fox is a POS lame duck coach, and is treating him as such. If anything he should be praised as a hero.

I'm sure you're more tongue and cheek about that but walking out of practice is rarely ever a good thing. He's one of the oldest players on the team he should be keeping the younger players from walking out of practice.

If there was a time to lose your patience this season would be it, but the new coach isn't going to see that as a positive at all.

Maybe guys like Smith and Gamble are very upset that the owner set this team up for mega failure, and with the current situation with the players/owners, see that they were sacrificed to make a point.(or try to anyway)

Sure they could take the attitude that "hey I get paid anyway". Or maybe guys like that really want to win, and can't accept or trust this team anymore.
If you give up on a team why would you care about the rookies?

Also maybe he/they DON'T want to be part of the rebuilding process, because maybe things shouldn't have been set up this badly in the first place.
No one makes you do a job, if he don't want to do it anymore, leave?

Can't fault him for this one, if I didn't like where I worked, I'd change where I worked.

IMO its the managements fault not the employees, they are just reacting to what was brought upon them.

I like this team and always will, but in no way can I blame him or NOT blame the real problem.
The only traitor here is JR.

That's one way of looking at it at least.

Anyone who thinks a new coach is going to cut his best DB because he had problems with the previous coach is having a very elaborate fantasy. Besides, his absence has been a lot more based on injury than his falling out with Fox.

You aren't going to cut a guy you just gave 52 million. with 10 million of that in 2010 plus his salary.. Too much of an accelerated cap hit for us. No one is going to trade for him either. Seven million a year plus a reputation for quitting.

No. we are stuck with him for better or worse.
