I ask because I was watching Hardball last night, and they were going over this mess, and how the new Hawaii Governor was going to put an end to the Birther bullshit. I personally don't see the point, since you can show 20% of these idiots video of the guy coming out of the womb, and they would still deny its legitimacy. I can not believe the Hawaii newspaper ran an ad of Obama being born, 50 years ago, the day after his birth for shits sake.

Anyway, the basis of this nonsense is that because Obama can't produce his original Birth Certificate, he most be an alien. He is what, 50? I'm 17, and my B.C is nowhere to be found. I had to get my family in Rhode Island to go to the capital and get a copy of it because the Army wouldn't accept the one my mom had. I doubt God himself knows where the original is. So there you have it........I'm REALLY from Canada.

I have a certified copy that I had to get to join the Navy. It was a pain to get. If I had not been in the military, the smaller, wallet sized one I had at home probably would have worked for whatever else I may have needed such a thing for.

I fall into the "I don't give a crap" percentile. While newspaper recordings of births mean nothing, I do think he was born in Hawaii. The "he's too busy" nonsense is BS though. He certainly takes a lot of opportunities to comment and do non-job required things.

Have one, but I don't know if its short or long (didn't even know there was a difference until this crazy hogwash). Its got the state seal on it, thats all that really matters. Just had to send a request to raleigh to get it along with a check for 10 bucks.

Call it a hunch, but I don't think very many birthers actually believe he was born outside of America. "Where is the long form birth certificate" is more socially acceptable than "who does that uppity ***** think he is, winning the presidential election?"
